HOW TO GET A CHECKBOOK IN BPI
There have been a lot of changes in my life lately. ? And one of the highlights is this: me and fiance are about to start our own business! Yey! I’m already soooo excited! Anyway, this is the reason why we need to get our own checkbook. We need to use checks for more convenient and practical way to monitor the business transactions.
Since we already have a savings account in BPI, we decided to also open our checking account there. For smooth transaction, I suggest that you prepare the requirements that I have listed below.
REQUIREMENTS TO BRING WHEN OPENING AN ACCOUNT:
- They require two (2) valid IDs with photo and signature
- 1×1 ID picture
- Utility Bill reflecting address
- Initial deposit of P10 000.00
- Commercial Checkbook fee of P350.00
We went to the nearest BPI branch and just approached the Customer Service section. We were asked to pass all the requirements and fill-out the form. We waited for almost an hour and finally got our own checkbook. Yey!
By the way, it’s very important that you properly record and track your account balance. The bank also provided record slips so you can note down each deposit or withdrawal in your checking account.
You can also use this checkbook as post dated check. A post dated check has a future date written upon it by the account holder. Some businesses use post dated check as collection method. The post dated checks will cover a series of future payments, which the recipient agrees to cash on the specified dates.
